Joining or setting up a rural energy community

This is a short and engaging start-up guide to empower citizens and guide them on the path to either joining or starting a successful rural energy community. The guide contains a roadmap and a detailed checklist with actions to be considered during each of the developing stages of a rural energy community. It also contains many links to useful resources and success stories.

Creating value and engaging citizens in the energy transition - Rural Energy Communities

This guidance provides you with an introduction to rural energy communities and the role of citizens in the energy system. It gives an overview of the current European energy market and explains the concept of energy communities, how they could fit within the system and why they are important. The benefits for the members and the wider society are also discussed, with inspiring examples of existing projects.

Rural Energy Community Advisory Hub Value Propositions

The Rural Energy Community Advisory Hub (RECAH) Value Proposition sets out why energy communities are key to advancing the European Green Deal. It provides the definition of a rural energy community (REC) and advises what the purpose of the RECAH initiative is and why/how stakeholders can participate.
